Skydive Long Island has two of the most versatile planes in the business!
We own million dollar aircraft. Turbine aircraft are the primary aircraft of choice in the skydiving industry because they provide superior lift power and accommodate large groups of skydivers. We own two turbine aircraft, a Cessna Grand Caravan, holding up to 19 passengers and a King Air B90 which holds up to 14 passengers. Our aircraft are meticulously maintained in accordance with all FAA regulations and provide the most comfortable ride to the highest altitude jumps on Long Island at 13,500 ft.
Our competitors own $35,000 aircraft. Very small dropzones are limited to very small aircraft, typically Cessna 182's that take only two tandem customers at a time. Because the engine is so small, the climb rate is extremely slow, which is why facilities with these planes won't go above an altitude of 10,000 ft at most.
