We believe that anytime is the best time to skydive in New York, but we're willing to admit that the skydiving weather definitely drives most folks' experience. The weather conditions for skydiving from season to season vary as much as can be up here in our fair state, and so skydiving in the NYC area can be just about anything you want it to be. Hooray for a skydiving season that doesn't quit!
Skydiving in Winter
Visiting New York for the holidays? You might just get lucky and get a holly jolly jump in! We'll be honest with you and mention that winter is an exceptionally tough time to skydive, since our ambient temperatures often dip too low to make a safe jump (and when they do, we don't!). That said: There's a special peacefulness around winter jumping that makes the experience well worth it for folks who are into that vibe.
Skydiving in Spring
Ah, spring: That magical time when young hearts turn to the sky. Ours do, at least! With winter's storms in the past and some gorgeous new greenery on the ground, spring skydiving can be a jaw-dropping time to check out the New York area from far above. Sure, there's a chance that you might get unlucky and have to reschedule due to inclement weather (namely: April showers, y'all). That said: we love spring skydiving, and we bet you will, too.
Skydiving in Summer
Summertime is high time for skydiving in New York -- and skydiving everywhere else, too! The weather conditions for skydiving are most reliable in the summertime, and the dropzone is buzzing with activity. No wonder, too: Even when it's way too heckin' hot on the ground, the temperatures up at 13,500 feet tend to be juuuust perfect, clocking in at about 20 degrees cooler, with no humidity whatsoever. (How refreshing, no?)
Skydiving in Autumn
The best time to go skydiving in New York, however, is the best time to hit New England in general: Our world-renowned autumn. Around mid- to late October sees the region's fall foliage on full display -- the best in the world, many say, and we tend to agree with 'em. We jump with starry-eyed visitors from all over the planet, most of whom are straight-up breathless with amazement when they land.
So, you see: the best time to go skydiving in New York is the earliest you can make it down to Skydive Long Island! There's something to love about the New York tandem skydiving experience any time of year, and we're looking forward to showing you just how tremendous it can be -- in winter, spring, summer, fall or anywhere in-between. Make your reservation today!
