Skydive Long Island™ is located at the Brookhaven Airport in Shirley, NY.

Being just 70 miles away, Skydive Long Island™ is the closest skydiving center to Yonkers, NY, and is accessible by public transportation from Yonkers Station to Mastic - Shirley with stops at Penn Station and Jamaica.

Tandem Skydiving - It's Our Specialty

At Skydive Long Island™, our specialty is tandem skydiving; we don't permit licensed skydivers which is a benefit to the first time jumper because all of our availability is dedicated solely to you - we are not having to manage seats on the airplane to accommodate two different customer types. Our operation has six skydiving aircraft moving in continuous motion lifting our guests to jump altitude continuously throughout the day allowing for short wait times if the weather cooperates.

Because of our focus on tandem skydiving, our team is driven to deliver a world-class skydiving experience. We don't believe that a great skydiving experience is exclusively tied to exiting a plane, free-falling, and landing - there's so much more! A big aspect of the skydiving experience is ensuring you feel welcomed, unintimidated, and prepared to make the ultimate leap of all leaps! Our instructional staff are highly experienced and passionate about what they do for a living - skydiving (it could be worse!)

How We're Different - Million Dollar Views!

Aside from our proximity to Westchester County, our greatest value proposition is our view - it's incredible! To see Mastic Beach, West Hampton Dunes, Fire Island, Water Island, and even the New York City skyline (on a clear day) all during a single jump makes for an experience you'll never forget! The flight to exit altitude is like a scenic tour allowing you to get even more value out of your experience! You will not see any farmland - it's stunning ocean views!

Making Your First Jump - What You'll Need

If you're thinking about making a skydive, it's important to know a few pre-requisites.

• Reservations are required including a $50 deposit. You can book online here.
• Facial covering (over mouth and nose) at all times except during freefall. For freefall, we ask you use a neck buff pulled up over your nose and mouth.
• All guests must be at least 18 years of age. No exceptions.
• A photo ID (showing birth date) is required.
• Our weight limit is 225 lbs for height to weight proportional people. Please call before making a reservation for people above 200 pounds. Add'l fee of $2/lb applies to all skydivers over 200 lbs.

Every jumper must completely fill and sign a Legal Release, Waiver of Liability and Assumption of Risk Agreement BEFORE arriving at our facilities. Spectators and others not jumping will not be allowed in the facility. Spectators may watch from the fenceline or parking lot. The main terminal building is open and there are restrooms there.
